180: Interview with Jordan of Neil Frances

In this episode, Jordan discusses his transition from DJing into music production and the formation of the Neil Frances duo with Mark. He highlights his preference for analog gear and production techniques, emphasizing the significance of feel in music creation, and explains their all-analog live setup for the Club NF project. Jordan also shares details about upcoming Club NF releases and more.

Neil Frances, the LA duo of Jordan Feller and Marc Gilfry, blends electro-indie rock with a love for dance music, influenced by Feller's start as a DJ in Sydney. They first gained attention through SoundCloud demos and support from KCRW. Their 2017 remake of “Music Sounds Better With You” became a massive hit with over 360 million TikTok views and 200 million streams.

Neil Frances has since played major festivals like Coachella and Bonnaroo. They also created CLUB NF to remix their tracks for energetic, analog live sets, with VOL. 1 reaching over 640,000 streams. They continue to tour and release new music under both the Neil Frances and CLUB NF names.
