Ableton Clip Launch modes?

If you click on either a midi or audio clip, there is a skinny box that appears to the right of the help/info box. This skinny box is the “clip view.” If you click the “L” button in the bottom left of the clip view box, the “Launch mode” box will appear. From there you can select 4 different launch modes. Trigger, Gate, Toggle, and Repeat.

Trigger is the default. A mouse click down will start the clip, a release of the mouse click is ignored.

Gate:  A mouse click down will start the clip, a release of the mouse click stops the clip.

Toggle: A mouse click down starts and stops the clip.

Repeat: (Does not Loop) Holding down on the mouse click will repeatedly trigger the clip at its quantization interval.
